Blackbird Time Attack Protocol

2008 Chevrolet HHR

Series NPC Cars
Category Circuit
Wave Wave 11

The Blackbird Time Attack Protocol reimagines the 2008 Chevrolet HHR as a focused, aerodynamic weapon for time attack circuits. Drawing inspiration from the SR-71 Blackbird’s stealth and aerodynamic innovations, this build aggressively widens the chassis by over 220mm to accommodate ultra-wide 310/625/18 semi-slick tires, while integrating sharp chined edges and advanced airflow management features like NACA ducts and vortex-generating dive planes. The satin matte black finish with subtle charcoal geometric patterns enhances its menacing presence, marrying function with a stealth fighter aesthetic.

Under the hood, a turbocharged 2.0L inline-4 powers the rear wheels through a sequential 6-speed gearbox, supported by extensive cooling upgrades fed by sidepod ducts and splitter intakes. The triple-element rear wing and massive diffuser work in concert to maximize downforce and stability at speed, while the precise suspension geometry and extreme camber settings ensure the chassis remains planted and responsive on track.

2008 Chevrolet HHR

The 2008 Chevrolet HHR is a retro-inspired compact wagon that channels the charm of 1940s panel trucks with a modern twist. Built on GM’s Delta platform, the HHR offers a utilitarian yet stylish package, marked by its boxy silhouette, high roofline, and robust stance. While its design echoes vintage utility, the chassis provides a contemporary and adaptable foundation well-suited for creative customization and performance upgrades, balancing everyday usability with a touch of nostalgic character.

Time Attack Everything: Vol. 1

We took time attack culture and cranked it all the way to eleven with these radical mutations that would make any track day warrior drool. From a 1940 Ford turned aerodynamic beast with wings that scream ‘hold on tight’ to a jet fighter-inspired Dodge Challenger Hellcat that’s basically a stealth bomber on wheels, our builds push widebody tech and aero wizardry beyond the usual limits.
