Chrome Boulevard Classic
1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II
A Silver Shadow II is already a rolling statement—long hood, formal roofline, and enough presence to silence a parking lot. Chrome Boulevard Classic takes that sacred silhouette and drags it into West Coast lowrider tradition the right way: ultra-wide, pavement-close, and finished like a piece of jewelry. The candy champagne gold reads warm in the sun, while the polished over-fender lips and wire wheels throw hard highlights at golden hour.
The engineering stays believable and deliberate. Widebody track is pushed out 140mm up front and 180mm in the rear with riveted chrome over-fenders that look hand-built because they are, tied into a widened rocker for a continuous, muscular lower line. Hydraulics deliver the drama—resting low with controlled travel—while the Rolls V8 keeps its original character, dressed with chrome and cooling vents that feel more coachbuilt than cartoon.

1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II
The 1979 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II epitomizes understated luxury with its timelessly elegant proportions and presence. As Rolls-Royce’s flagship sedan of its era, it blends classic British craftsmanship with pioneering technical features, including independent rear suspension and advanced power steering for the period. Built on a unibody chassis, the Silver Shadow II offers a supple ride that set the tone for chauffeured luxury, its stately silhouette an icon of refined automotive culture and bespoke bespoke motoring.
Aero Package
Integrated trunk-lip spoiler (60mm curl) blended into the decklid for a clean profile
Reprofiled rear valence with subtle diffuser channel (45mm recess) housing flush exhaust tips
Bonnet side vents (400mm x 95mm) for heat extraction and engine-bay display
Chassis
This is a Southern California boulevard build—made for long, slow passes under warm light, not lap times. The chassis setup prioritizes presence: laid-out ride height, deliberate negative camber, and a wide footprint that reads stable and planted when parked and rolling.
Wheels & Tires
Front: 20x7.5 polished wire-spoke wheels with 195/45R20 whitewalls
Rear: 20x9.5 polished wire-spoke wheels with 245/40R20 whitewalls
Track widened to match over-fenders: +140mm front, +180mm rear
Powertrain
Retain original Rolls-Royce L-series V8 architecture for period-correct torque and cruising manners
Engine bay presentation: chromed cover plates, polished intake pieces, and show-clean routing
Hydraulic pump system packaged under-frame to power lift/lay functionality without sacrificing cabin elegance
Fabrication Notes
Bolt-on over-fenders secured with chrome riveted seams at 45mm spacing for serviceability and visual rhythm
Hand-formed chrome lips (28mm front / 35mm rear) with tight edge finishing to avoid waviness in reflections
Rocker extension built as a continuous lower structure to prevent “add-on” look and improve stiffness
Rear quarter extensions and valence reprofiled with soft radii to preserve Rolls surfacing language
