R056
Ghost Protocol transforms the 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II from a stately luxury sedan into a radical mid-engine endurance prototype hybrid. The heart of the build is a longitudinally mounted hybrid powertrain repositioned behind the rear seats, necessitating a 110mm wheelbase extension and a cabin shift that redefines the car's proportions. This mechanical mutation drives an aggressive silhouette with ultra-wide trapezoidal front box fenders and convex rear arches, merging classic Rolls-Royce lines with Can-Am inspired aerodynamic principles and advanced thermal management. The widebody shell integrates complex sidepods beneath the doors housing large radiator and intercooler arrays, while the front NACA duct and twin dual-element rear wings mounted on active swan neck pylons emphasize aerodynamic efficiency and downforce. The stance is purpose-built for the track, lowered with race-spec coilovers and wrapped in forged Volk Racing TE37 wheels, 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, shod with high-performance tires to tame the extended 330mm track width.
Blueprint // R056
Ghost Protocol’s extensive chassis modifications yield a 330mm wider track and lowered stance, optimized for circuit stability and cornering grip. Adjustable race coilover dampers and active suspension geometry refine responsiveness, while aerodynamic enhancements like the twin rear wings and front cooling ducts maintain high-speed balance and brake efficiency under sustained load.
110mm wheelbase stretch with 100mm rearward cabin shift
Ultra-wide trapezoidal front box fenders with vertical cooling ducts
Convex rear arches extended 180mm blending into sidepods and rear quarters
Full carbon fiber silhouette with flush bonded repair panels
Raised hood with central 420x160mm NACA duct for airflow management
Twin dual-element rear wings on active swan neck pylons 600mm above deck
Integrated vertical cooling vents in rear wing endplates
Rear diffuser extending 210mm downward and 180mm rearward
Aerodynamic development centers on a full silhouette widebody with integrated sidepods channeling airflow to intercoolers and radiators. The raised hood with a central NACA duct optimizes front-end cooling, while the twin dual-element rear wings mounted on active swan neck pylons generate significant downforce. Rear diffuser extensions and vertical cooling vents further enhance airflow management for track-focused stability.
Front: 19-inch forged Volk Racing TE37, 10 inches wide, 275/35ZR19 tires
Rear: 20-inch forged Volk Racing TE37, 12 inches wide, 325/30ZR20 tires
Lowered ride height by 35mm front and rear with adjustable coilovers
Wide 330mm front and rear track gain
The build rides on forged Volk Racing TE37 wheels, front 19-inch units 10 inches wide and rear 20-inch wheels 12 inches wide, wrapped in sticky 275/35ZR19 and 325/30ZR20 tires respectively. This staggered setup supports the widebody stance and aggressive track footprint, delivering mechanical grip and rotational inertia tailored for endurance performance.
Ride height is lowered by 35mm front and rear to sharpen center of gravity and improve aerodynamic engagement. The widened 330mm track gains create an imposing stance, with flared box fenders and rear arches emphasizing muscular proportions while maintaining smooth integration with the original Silver Shadow II lines.
Longitudinal mid-mounted hybrid powertrain behind rear seats
Advanced thermal management with sidepod radiator and intercooler arrays
Exhaust routed through rear diffuser sidewalls for heat dissipation
Electronic active damping integrated with double wishbone suspension
At the core lies a longitudinally mounted hybrid powertrain shifted to a mid-engine layout behind the rear seats, blending a traditional internal combustion unit with electric assist for endurance performance. This repositioning improves weight distribution while demanding comprehensive thermal management through sidepod-mounted radiators and intercoolers, ensuring sustained track capability.
The drivetrain integrates a hybrid system delivering balanced power through a rear-wheel-drive setup, complemented by active electronic dampers within a double wishbone suspension for precise handling. Power delivery is tuned for endurance racing dynamics, with exhaust outlets cleverly routed through the rear diffuser sidewalls to optimize airflow and heat extraction.
Extensive carbon fiber body panels with satin black weave finish
Sidepods formed beneath doors for cooling and aerodynamic flow
Flush bonded panels for smooth aerodynamic surfaces
Active aerodynamic elements mounted on carbon composite structures
