Retro Rocket Ranger
2015 Subaru Legacy
Retro Rocket Ranger takes the sensible 2015 Legacy and does the one thing Subaru never dared: it turns the sedan into a 1970s-inspired ute with the stance and presence of a period street machine. The rear doors are deleted and the roofline is reworked into a clean bed opening, finished with polished timber slats and simple chrome rails—more weekend hardware-store ingenuity than concept-car theater.
The widebody is the hook, but the details sell it: smooth, classic overfenders (80mm front, 100mm rear), a long flat hood with twin matte stripes, and a boxy scoop that actually feeds air where it matters. Underneath, it’s built to drive—low, wide, and stable—so it reads like a Speedhunters feature you’d bookmark, not a one-night show build.

2015 Subaru Legacy
The 2015 Subaru Legacy stands as a quintessential midsize sedan that balances everyday practicality with the brand's signature all-wheel-drive confidence. Boasting a refined yet unassuming design, the Legacy’s robust chassis and boxer engine layout deliver a stable, planted driving experience that appeals to enthusiasts and daily drivers alike. Its understated lines and all-weather capability make it a versatile canvas, ripe for both subtle performance upgrades and bold custom builds.
Aero Package
Full-length undertray to reduce lift and smooth underbody flow
Rear diffuser tuned for the widened track and lowered ride height
Functional hood scoop ducting to feed intercooler/turbo air demand
Subtle front air management (splitter lip and ducting kept period-clean)
Chassis
Set low at roughly 100mm ride height, Retro Rocket Ranger leans into wide-track stability: big footprint, controlled aero, and a stance that looks heavy but drives planted. It’s tuned for confident street speed—straight-line composure, clean turn-in, and none of the float you’d expect from a tall-sidewall retro tire.
Wheels & Tires
18x11 classic-style steel wheels (Torq Thrust-inspired) for period stance
295/40R18 BFGoodrich Radial T/A for tall sidewall and muscle-era silhouette
Wide track alignment setup to fill the 80/100mm flares without poke
Big brake clearance checked for 18-inch barrel fitment
Powertrain
Turbocharged 2.5L Subaru boxer base with upgraded intercooling and charge routing
Retro-styled mechanical fuel injection look over modern management for drivability
Heat management package: shielding, ducting, and proper turbo placement
Exhaust tuned for boxer character without drone in a long-roof cabin
Fabrication Notes
Bed conversion requires inner-quarter reinforcement and a boxed rear bulkhead to retain stiffness
Overfender mounting uses serviceable bolt-on plates with sealed edges to prevent corrosion
Tailgate lighting integrated with proper diffusers and weather sealing for daily use
Undertray mounted to reinforced pickup points to survive real road impacts

We've taken the art of the pickup and cranked it up to eleven, carving wide arches and planting giant tires where these classics and contemporary wonders never dared to tread. Our builds aren’t just chopped-up sedans or quirky wagons with beds glued on — they are fully legit sailors of an alternate muscle and utility universe, where widebody flair meets hauling might without a hint of compromise.
