Vortex GT Initiative
1964 Ginetta G4 R
The Vortex GT Initiative reimagines the 1964 Ginetta G4 R as a cutting-edge GT3 contender, blending its classic British sports car heritage with modern endurance racing technology. Every panel is reworked for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, from the trapezoidal front fenders with vertical lips designed to tame airflow around the tires, to the aggressive multi-element rear wing mounted high on swan neck pylons. The widened track and extended rear quarter panels create a purposeful stance that balances mechanical grip with aerodynamic stability, essential for the rigors of sprint and endurance formats.
Underneath the sculpted carbon fiber hood lies the original inline-4, turbocharged and dry-sumped to deliver reliable, sustained power while maintaining balance within the front mid-engine chassis. Complemented by a sequential six-speed paddle-shift gearbox and re-engineered suspension geometry, this build honors the Ginetta’s lightweight DNA while elevating it to the relentless precision demanded by modern GT3 racing.

What if GT3 Built This: Vol. 1
Our builds are a wild sprint through an alternate GT3 multiverse where muscle, metal, and madness collide with pro racing precision. We took the classic and the unexpected — from British lightweights to American muscle icons and even a crossover that forgot it was an SUV — then shoved them headfirst into the unforgiving world of FIA GT3 racing.
