2012 Chevrolet Camaro SS
This 2012 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been radically reimagined as a GT3 homologation contender, shedding its muscle car roots to embrace the demands of FIA GT3 endurance racing. Its chassis has been widened significantly—front and rear tracks expanded by 250mm—to carve a planted, aerodynamic footprint, while carbon fiber widebody panels with integrated cooling vents and aerodynamic sculpting refine airflow for maximum downforce and thermal management. Beneath the aggressive exterior lies a bespoke 5.3L twin-turbo V8 pushing 620 hp, paired with a sequential six-speed Xtrac transmission, tailored for sharp circuit performance rather than straight-line brute force.
The suspension is race-specific and fully adjustable, lowering the Camaro aggressively for track compliance, complemented by OZ Racing magnesium wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R slicks optimized for endurance grip. Aero elements like a large two-plane GT3 rear wing and an active diffuser system work in concert with functional vents and canards, turning this Camaro into a technical, aerodynamic weapon, fully committed to road course battles while paying homage to its muscle car lineage with a brutal, modern twist.
