Description
The Silver Shadow II was originally designed to glide silently through city streets while transporting important people to important places.
Ghost Protocol had different priorities.
This alternate-universe development program transforms the 1979 Rolls-Royce into a mid-engine endurance racing prototype, relocating the hybrid powertrain behind the rear seats and rebuilding nearly everything around it.
The wheelbase grows. The body widens. Cooling requirements become a lifestyle.
Massive sidepods feed radiator and intercooler systems. Trapezoidal front box flares contain an expanded track width. Twin dual-element rear wings sit above the rear deck because apparently one wing was considered insufficient.
The result somehow remains recognizable as a Rolls-Royce.
At least until you walk around it.
Presented here as a technical archive print, Ghost Protocol documents a factory motorsport program that never existed, but feels just believable enough to make you wonder.
