Shadow Circuit Armada takes the Evo IX—already a homologation weapon—and drags it into the 1980s endurance paddock. The familiar greenhouse and door cuts stay as the anchor, but everything around them becomes Group C logic: a wedge nose, sealed front arches, and a longtail deck that looks like it was shaped in a wind tunnel at 3 a.m. It’s the kind of “works prototype” that would have made purists furious and engineers proud.

This isn’t a cartoon widebody. The covered wheels, venturi-style ducting, and long rear overhang are all aimed at the same goal: stability at sustained speed, clean cooling paths, and downforce you can actually lean on. Matte carbon and exposed metallic aero hardware keep it honest—more test session than show stand.

Chassis

Longtail Studies

I got bored of normal proportions, so we went full Group C on the stuff nobody asked for. Microcar cabrios, rally legends, a sensible BMW sedan, an actual Honda Element, a compact pickup, and a mid-engine MR2 all lined up in the shop with the same disease: wedge noses, covered wheels, and rear decks stretched like we’re trying to outrun the calendar.
