Story

Hydra Longtail takes the SW20’s mid-engine proportions and pulls them into the endurance-prototype world without losing the MR2’s silhouette. The cabin and roofline stay familiar, but everything around them becomes airflow management: a wedge nose with a sealed splitter plane, ducted front arches, and sidepods that treat cooling like a system—not an afterthought.

Out back, the hatch becomes a canopy that fades into a 460mm longtail, trading visual drama for the kind of stability Group C cars earned at speed. No tall wing, no bolt-on theatrics—just a low fin, a full-width diffuser, and body surfacing designed to keep the car planted when the straights get long and the braking zones get late.
