R008
The Can-Am Quickstrike reimagines the 2022 Hyundai Elantra as a fiercely aggressive track machine with a nod to the brutal, wide-body Can-Am prototypes of the 1970s. Its +220mm fiberglass widebody fuses vintage race car aggression with modern composites, featuring exposed airflow extraction slots and a hydraulically actuated rear wing that emphasize functional ground-effect aerodynamics. The sedan’s long, sloped nose and aggressive stance carve a purposeful silhouette that balances raw mechanical presence with precision airflow management. Beneath the sculpted exterior lies a heavily reworked 2.0-liter twin-turbo engine producing 520 horsepower, paired with forged PVM wheels wrapped in Hoosier slicks. The build embraces a time attack philosophy, pushing track width and aero extremes while maintaining technical refinement. It’s a radical reinterpretation of a common sedan, stripped free from convention and engineered to dominate both in form and function.
Blueprint // R008
Designed as a time attack prototype, the Quickstrike’s extreme width and aggressive aero package provide exceptional grip and stability through high-speed corners. Race-spec Hoosier slicks and stiffened suspension geometry maximize mechanical grip, making it a formidable sprint racer on technical circuits.
+220mm fiberglass widebody panels
Exposed airflow extraction slots
Extended front splitter integration
Hydraulically actuated rear wing mounts
Functional ground-effect undertray
Hydraulic rear wing for adjustable downforce
Flow-optimized front splitter
Side skirts with integrated vortex generators
Inspired by 1970s Can-Am prototypes, the aero package combines vintage aggressive shapes with modern function. The hydraulically actuated rear wing and ground-effect undertray generate significant downforce, while exposed extraction slots and vortex generators refine airflow, reducing drag and increasing cornering stability.
Forged PVM 18x11-inch wheels
Hoosier R7 305/680-18 slicks
Race-spec center-lock hubs
Lightweight beadlock rings
Forged PVM wheels sized 18x11 inches feature lightweight construction and race-grade center-lock hubs, wrapped in Hoosier R7 slicks optimized for track performance. Beadlock rings add safety and durability under extreme lateral loads, emphasizing a purposeful track stance.
The Quickstrike’s stance is a deliberate balance of extreme track width and aggressive camber, pushing the limits of the Elantra’s chassis. Lowered suspension and widened track create a squat, planted posture that visually communicates the build’s race-ready intent while enhancing cornering precision.
2.0-liter twin-turbo inline-4 reworked for 520 hp
Custom stainless exhaust manifold
Upgraded intercooler system
Standalone engine management with track mapping
The 2.0-liter inline-4 twin-turbo engine is extensively modified to produce 520 horsepower, featuring upgraded internals, a custom exhaust manifold, and a high-capacity intercooler. A standalone engine management system provides precise control and multiple track-tuned maps for maximum performance under varied conditions.
Paired to a reinforced six-speed manual transmission, the drivetrain channels power to the front wheels with a limited-slip differential optimized for track traction. Suspension upgrades and custom subframe mounts support the widened track, ensuring power delivery translates into precise and confident handling.
Hand-laid fiberglass widebody panels for weight savings
Custom subframe reinforcements for increased rigidity
Hydraulic actuation system integrated into rear wing mounts
Precision-machined suspension mounts for increased track width
