Midnight Donk

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Midnight Donk takes a ’65 Stingray—one of the sacred shapes—and drags it straight into neon-soaked big-wheel culture. The factory curves are still there, but they’re pushed outward with high-rise arches that swallow 26s without pretending it’s a track car. It’s a deliberate culture clash: mid-century fiberglass and chrome-era show stance, staged under streetlights and camera flashes.

The hood stays long and smooth, but the party trick lives underneath: hydraulics up front to pick the nose up when the crowd closes in, then drop it back down until the rockers hover over wet concrete. Out back, a squared-off trunk extension and vertical LED pillars replace any nostalgia for a spoiler—more billboard than wing, built for the night meet and the reflection it leaves behind.

Aero Package

Spoiler-delete rear deck with vertical LED taillight pillars as the visual fin
Smoothed front fascia with subtle lower lip to visually anchor the nose when aired out
Integrated underbody LED lighting recessed into arch undersides
Flat undertray sections for cleaner undercar airflow at street speeds

Chassis

The stance is built around an exaggerated track width—pushed beyond 2100mm—to place the wheels exactly where the arches demand. It’s a show-first geometry package, but executed with attention to steering clearance, fastener integrity, and real-world load paths.

Wheels & Tires

26-inch Asanti Forged
full chrome finish
Low-profile performance street tires sized to clear tubs and maintain steering lock
Hub-centric adapters/spacers and extended studs matched to final offsets
Upgraded wheel bearings and hardware to suit increased leverage from large diameter wheels

Powertrain

Period-correct small-block Chevrolet V8
tuned for crisp throttle and reliable idle at meets
Modern ignition and fuel delivery hidden for clean bay presentation
High-output alternator and upgraded battery system to support pumps and lighting
Exhaust tuned for a deep
controlled note without drowning the cabin

Fabrication Notes

Widebody mounted with reinforced pick-up points to prevent cracking on a slammed chassis
Hydraulic system isolated on vibration-damped mounts with hardlines routed away from heat
Rear extension framed with tubular supports to manage flex and latch alignment
Lighting harness built with sealed connectors
proper grounding
and service loops
