Story

Yaris BattleCreep starts with the most anonymous hatch in the parking lot and turns it into an urban hardbody study: a 150 mm-per-side wide track wrapped in faceted armor-style overfenders that read like plating, but are packaged like real wheelhouse structure. The stance is intentionally upright—100 mm of lift, real travel, and clearance—so the silhouette feels more rally raid than cosplay.

Under the skin it’s still Toyota-simple: small displacement, boosted for midrange, and built around heat management and filtration so it can live in dust, rain, and stop‑and‑go abuse. The point isn’t speed-run numbers; it’s making an improbable platform feel mechanically believable when it’s lit by sodium street lamps and a roof bar cutting through wet air.

Technical dossier

Fictional engineering concept

Platform

2010 Toyota Yaris Hatchback

Powertrain concept

Toyota 2ZR-FE 1.8L swap/retune with a low-boost turbo for usable torque and conservative EGTs
Front-mount intercooler with sealed ducting and water-resistant intake routing
High-capacity radiator and oil cooling with fan control calibrated for idle-heavy conditions
Dust-focused filtration: pre-filter sock, serviceable airbox, and splash-proof snorkel-style pickup

Aero package

Flat underbody skids transitioning into functional rock protection at the sills
Vented hood relief for radiator and charge-air heat extraction
Front mesh intake with debris screens and ducting to cooling packs
Rear ramp heat shield shaping to keep exhaust wash off the door structure

Chassis & stance

2010 Toyota Yaris Hatchback

Wheels & tires

17x9 steel beadlock wheels, ET-12, designed around brake and steering clearance
285/70R17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R for sidewall and bite on broken pavement and rubble
Reinforced studs and hub-centric rings to manage beadlock mass and off-road impacts
Full-size matching spare packaged to suit the ramp-door cargo concept

Fabrication notes

Widebody mounts tied into inner structure with doubler plates to prevent fender fatigue
Suspension pick-up reinforcement and gusseting to handle lift and tire leverage
Brake line, ABS, and harness routing reworked for full droop and steering lock
Ramp-door hinge and latch system built like a utility tailgate: load paths first, cosmetics second
