Story

Fiero Program is the R34 GT-R treated like a sacred object—and then cut apart with purpose. The familiar Skyline face is replaced by a low wedge and hard geometric surfacing, with carbon panels that read more Sant’Agata than Shinagawa. Satin metallic orange over exposed weave and gloss-black aero breaks up the mass, while the widened arches and shortened nose shift the whole car’s visual weight rearward.

Under the skin, the headline is packaging: an RB26 moved behind the cabin, a stretched wheelbase, and a rear transaxle to make the proportions make sense at speed. It’s still Nissan at its core—straight-six boost, pragmatic cooling, serviceable hardware—but the stance, airflow strategy, and driver placement aim squarely at modern supercar behavior on a mountain road or a hot lap session.

Technical dossier

Fictional engineering concept

Platform

1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

Powertrain concept

RB26DETT rebuilt for sustained boost with twin ceramic ball-bearing turbos
Transverse mid-engine packaging with rear sequential transaxle and paddle shift
Rear-wheel-drive conversion to simplify driveline under the new layout
Side-exit titanium exhaust ahead of rear wheels to reduce tail heat soak
Mid-mounted cooling stack fed by quarter intakes and roof duct assistance

Aero package

Tri-element fixed GT wing (1680mm span) on twin pylons set high over the diffuser
Extended rear diffuser (290mm) with three strakes and integrated exhaust exits
Large side intakes in rear quarters feeding mid-mounted radiators/intercoolers
Engine cover with thermally triggered active louvered vent
Roof NACA ducts to support cabin-to-engine bay airflow and pressure balance

Chassis & stance

1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

Wheels & tires

Front: 20x9 ADV.1 forged, +20 offset, 265/30ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R
Rear: 21x12 ADV.1 forged, +15 offset, 355/30ZR21 Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R
Track increase: +175mm front, +210mm rear to match aero and cooling packaging
Ride height target: 45mm front / 55mm rear on adjustable coilovers

Fabrication notes

Rear subframe and suspension pickup points re-engineered to suit axle relocation and transaxle mounting
Composite bodywork bonded to reinforced structure with serviceable fasteners at high-heat zones
Heat shielding and airflow isolation around turbos and side-exit routing to protect carbon surfaces
Underfloor profiling and diffuser transition tuned to the new wheelbase and rear overhang
Front suspension geometry corrected for widened track with forged arms and reduced unsprung mass
