Elysian Edge Initiative takes the 2016 Honda HR-V’s familiar greenhouse and roofline and stretches everything else into a calm, engineered statement. The wide track isn’t “bolt-on flare” drama—65mm per side up front and 70mm per side out back are carried in elongated elliptical arches with a soft 20mm chamfered lip, so the car reads like a factory clay model that simply got more capable. The finish is deep and technical: an iridescent midnight-emerald-to-indigo pearl over a carbon/titanium hybrid skin, with graphite weave detailing only where heat and airflow demand it.
Under the sculpture is a believable road car: the stock 1.8 stays naturally aspirated for OEM manners, then gets quiet electric assist and modern thermal management to match the new aero load and wider rubber. Active ride control and subtle, integrated aero keep it composed at speed without turning the HR-V into a caricature. It’s a “mom car” by silhouette—until you notice the stance, the cooling strategy, and the way every surface transition looks like it was machined, not modified.

Powertrain concept+
OEM 1.8L NA inline-4 retained for stock-like drivability and serviceability
Hidden hybrid electric assist with rear-floor battery packaging to preserve cabin utility and center of gravity
Bespoke power management/ECU calibration integrating assist torque with factory throttle mapping
Thermal system upgrade: front electric radiators plus sidepod heat exchangers with controllable louvers
Aero package+
Recessed hood center channel ducting to front electric radiators for pressure relief and cooling
Active single-element rear wing (1550mm span) on slim pneumatic pylons for speed-dependent stability
Rear diffuser (740mm wide, 180mm drop) with three horizontal strakes for underbody expansion control
Vertical diffuser end plates with extraction louvers aligned to tire wake/turbulence zones

Wheels & tires+
HRE FF04 forged: 21x9 with asymmetric 10-spoke blade geometry, brushed liquid platinum with diamond-cut edges
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S: 275/30ZR21 front, 295/30ZR21 rear
Targeted 20mm arch clearance with widened tracks (1630mm front / 1670mm rear) for balanced visual weight
Adaptive ride height: nominal -35mm with on-demand adjustment for approach angles and show stance
Fabrication notes+
Carbon/titanium hybrid panel strategy focused on stiffness and heat tolerance at aero interfaces and vents
Widebody executed as blended, non-bolt-on surfacing with consistent shut-lines and service access points
Electrochromic louver system integrated into rear side intakes for variable cooling without visual clutter
Embedded temperature and airflow sensing routed through body structure for real-time thermal monitoring
