Platform 2010 Nissan Altima
Era 2010s OEM+ / Instagram Era

This 2010 Nissan Altima transforms a typically overlooked sedan into a vibrant canvas of JDM showmanship fused with American lowrider flair. Massive 350mm-wide flares carve a bold widebody stance, pushing the track widths to aggressive 1850mm front and 1950mm rear, perfectly housing staggered deep dish SSR Professor SP3 wheels. The stance is dialed in low with hydraulics, dropping 110mm for show but capable of raising on command, accentuated by extreme rear camber and a striking candy apple red paint layered with subtle airbrushed graffiti and pearl flakes that catch neon light effortlessly. Inside the custom hydraulic trunk lies a show-stopping audio setup, fully exposed when lifted, while a minimalist ducktail spoiler and underglow neon lighting enhance the Altima’s presence during night meets. The powertrain remains near-stock with a tuned intake and exhaust focused on an aggressive bark that complements the car’s visual boldness, making this build a statement in both form and sound at urban gatherings.

Track

The track width is significantly widened to 1850mm front and 1950mm rear, achieved through the extensive widebody flares and wheel offset choices. This aggressive stance not only accommodates the deep dish wheels but stabilizes the car during hydraulic lift transitions. The scalloped flare edges and sharp chrome accents create a layered visual depth, emphasizing the car’s muscular footprint at any urban meet.

Body Modifications

350mm front and rear widebody flares with scalloped chrome trim
Custom hydraulic trunk bed with audio system reveal
Small ducktail lip spoiler integrated with neon underglow
Hydraulic lift suspension dropping stance by 110mm

Aero Components

Sharp-edged widebody arch lips for aggressive track stance
Subtle ducktail spoiler for rear-end balance and style
Scalloped lower edges on fender flares to enhance flow

Aero

Aerodynamics take a backseat to style with this build, focusing on sharp visual elements that enhance the show car identity. The widebody flares feature scalloped lower edges trimmed in chrome, adding dimensionality while subtly managing airflow around the widened track. The small ducktail spoiler integrates neon underglow lighting, lending a balanced rear profile without overpowering the Altima’s smooth OEM hoodline and overall silhouette.

Wheel and Tire Setup

Front: 20x8 +15 SSR Professor SP3 with 215/35ZR20 tires
Rear: 20x12 -12 deep dish SSR Professor SP3 with 275/30ZR20 tires
Staggered fitment to emphasize widebody stance

Wheels

SSR Professor SP3 wheels provide a classic yet aggressive silhouette, with 20-inch diameters front and rear to fill the expanded arches. The front wheels measure 8 inches wide with a +15 offset, wrapped in 215/35ZR20 tires for precise fitment, while the rear wheels are a 12-inch deep dish setup at -12 offset, housing wider 275/30ZR20 tires that push the show stance and complement the stretched camber angle.

Stance

The build’s stance is a defining feature, lowered 110mm with an integrated hydraulic system that offers functional lift on command. Extreme rear camber angles near -6 degrees accentuate the lowrider influence while maintaining a static fitment ideal for show environments. This stretched, low posture combined with wide tracks gives the Altima a planted, aggressive presence that captures the spirit of both JDM and American lowrider cultures.

Powertrain Concept

Stock 2.5L inline-four engine retained for reliability
Upgraded intake and exhaust tuned for aggressive sound
Focus on audio presence over significant power gains

Engine

The Altima’s original 2.5L inline-four remains largely stock, chosen for its balance of reliability and smooth power delivery. Upgrades focus on intake and exhaust modifications to cultivate a throaty, aggressive tone that complements the show car’s presence without compromising durability. This approach supports extended use at meets and events, prioritizing sound character over raw output.

Drivetrain

Maintaining the factory front-wheel-drive layout, this build preserves the Altima’s inherent drivetrain characteristics while accommodating the widebody and lowered stance. The hydraulic suspension system allows for on-demand ride height adjustment, improving maneuverability in everyday scenarios and enabling a dramatic low stance for show. Stretched rear camber enhances visual impact but remains within functional limits for occasional street use.

Fabrication Notes

Widebody flares custom fabricated with precise 350mm extensions
Hydraulic trunk mechanism engineered for smooth lift and show reveal
Chrome trim hand-finished for sharp, scalloped arch edges
Hydraulic suspension system integrated for adjustable stance
