Story

The Velvet Marquis Initiative transforms the 1951 Hudson Hornet into a commanding late-2000s DUB Edition luxury showcar, marrying classic American grandeur with measured widebody elegance. The build’s refined volumetric expansions—90mm front and 165mm rear fender widenings—flow seamlessly with the original bodylines, preserving the coupe’s timeless silhouette while asserting a modern muscular presence. Subtle aero elements, including a layered carbon fiber rear spoiler and integrated front splitter with vertical dive planes, enhance low-speed stability without compromising the Hudson’s graceful demeanor.

Underneath the polished midnight sapphire candy paint and brushed aluminum hood, the original V8 is complemented by enhanced cooling through hood louvers and side ducts, maintaining mechanical confidence beneath an opulent exterior. Custom titanium HRE 20-inch wheels with staggered Michelin Pilot Sport tires anchor the lowered stance, while air suspension allows for versatile ride height control, balancing boulevard comfort with showcar poise.
