Hillclimb Vortex
Hillclimb Vortex is what happens when a 2001 Jaguar X-Type stops pretending it’s only a quiet commuter and starts chasing split times. The shell stays recognizably X-Type, but everything around it is re-prioritized: 200mm carbon composite arches, hard-edge vortex work at the fender exits, and a hood bulge built to feed a top-mount intercooler with extractor slits that actually pull heat out on a long pull uphill.
The stance is deliberately functional—raised for real road camber and broken tarmac, not parking-lot drama—while the aero package is unapologetically big because hillclimb speeds are high and corners come fast. The rear gets a full-width diffuser, an aero hatch that replaces the trunk lid, and a dual-plane wing with fences to keep the car settled when the road drops away and the throttle stays pinned.

Built on a Ford CD132 platform shared with the Lincoln LS and Ford Thunderbird, the X-Type combines British refinement with a balanced chassis and classic Jaguar styling cues. Its restrained yet elegant silhouette, coupled with a well-tuned suspension, offers a composed and sophisticated driving experience that appeals to enthusiasts seeking a blend of prestige and practicality in a compact form.
